I have developed a concept in which I visit schools and other institutions with a three-part program combining concert, storytelling, and workshop, centered around life as a singer-songwriter. The aim is to create an intimate and inspiring experience where music, personal narrative, and creative immersion go hand in hand — and to explore what it truly means to live a life as a singer-songwriter.
Concert & Storytelling
I offer an atmospheric concert consisting of two sets of original songs, stories from my life and background, and live looping. The performance revolves around themes such as identity, inner dialogue, courage, and authenticity.
Concert
Creating the Inner Song
An introduction to basic songwriting, creative tools, and how to discover and develop your personal artistic voice.
1 Part
The Sustainable Life of a Singer-Songwriter
On communication, artistic integrity, and how to build a meaningful and sustainable life in music.
2 Part
Part 1 –Creating the Inner Song
In this workshop, Lukas Eagleroad introduces students to the world of the singer-songwriter through music, storytelling, and active participation. Drawing on his background as a Danish Native American and professional musician, Lukas creates a safe, creative space where students explore both musical craft and personal expression.
The workshop covers the essentials of songwriting: melody, chords, rhythm, song structure (verse, chorus, bridge), and building a song as a story with a strong hook and clear identity. Students work with lyrics, rhyme, dynamics, and the voice as a storytelling tool.
Hands-on experience is central, with rhythm games, group exercises, and songwriting—both structured and free-form. Students’ own ideas are included, and familiar songs are analyzed and interpreted.
The workshop concludes with performance skills: stage presence, audience connection, and artistic integrity, possibly ending with an informal open mic or showcase.
Part 2 –The Sustainable Life of a Singer-Songwriter
Students learn how to create a sustainable life as a musician, covering the full process from idea to release, promotion, and income. Topics include digital distribution, royalties, production roles, planning recordings, branding, visual identity, press materials, business basics (contracts, invoicing, accounting), and social media. The workshop also introduces booking, pitching, networking, grants, and continued career development.
